Vintage Fabrics continues to recover aircraft in the traditional manner of Irish Linen and Nitrate Cellulose tautening dopes, but it also maintains a steady flow of modern polyester cotton fabric recovers on the more modern sport and aerobatic aircraft.

Vintage Fabrics can research and duplicate any fabric recover techniques, such as World War Two German fabric techniques to interwar RAF techniques. Research comes from original factory drawings, photographs and if available original aircraft for comparison.

Vintage Fabrics also carries out specialist leather work for all types of aircraft, such as leather control boots, cockpit combing, seat covers and leather gaiters. Please contact us for details.

Vintage Fabrics also covers warbird fuel and oil tanks. This is a major safety feature on the Spitfire, Hurricane, BF109 and Lancaster. All types of fuel or oil tanks are catered for.
